Dr. Rebecca Vaughn earned her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and graduated from the Honors Program at the University of Georgia in 1983. She was employed as a microbiologist at the Centers for Disease Control prior to entering medical school at the Medical College of Georgia. There, she authored many medial publications and was the recipient of a research grant from the Southern Medical Association.
She completed her Internship in Internal Medicine and Residency in Dermatology at the Medical College of Georgia. She was the Chief Resident of the Department of Dermatology in 1991 and 1992.
She worked as a volunteer instructor with the residents at Emory's Department of Dermatology. She has served as member at large on the Executive Member Board at WellStar Paulding Hospital. She is a member of the Paulding Chamber of Commerce and a dedicated Girl Scout troop leader.
Currently, Dr. Vaughn is serving on the Executive Committee and is the Past President of the Atlanta Dermatological Association. She is a Board Certified Dermatologist and is currently a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.
She has enjoyed practicing in the Atlanta metro area since 1992.
